Zuraima Caldera, MD

Dr. Zuraima Calderas career began in 1996 when she graduated as a Medical Doctor from the Central University of Venezuela, Luis Razetti Medical School in Caracas.

After moving to the United States with her husband, she completed a Psychiatry Residency and then a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Texas AM Health Science Center College of Medicine at Scott and White Healthcare in Temple, Texas.

Dr. Zuraima Caldera is a wife, a mother of two adolescents and the caretaker of an elderly mother. Therefore, in her personal life she understands very well the situations that her patients face every day.

The founder of Balanced Minds is an active member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, American Psychiatry Association, and the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Caldera is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Psychiatry and in Child Adolescent Psychiatry.
