Yong Q. Liu, M.D. and Pharm. D.

Yong Liu, M.D., Pharm. D. is a primary care physician who is board certified in Internal Medicine. Originally educated in China, she immigrated to the United States and attended the UCSF School of Pharmacy where she earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree Pharm. D. and contributed to clinical research at San Francisco General Hospital. With a persistent desire to provide direct patient care, she returned for further training in the Internal Medicine program at St. Marys Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Liu believes that medicine is not only a science where current standards should be met, but also an art where dialogue between provider and patient allows an individualized approach to the maintenance and restoration of health. Practicing in Sonoma since 2001, she strongly believes in continuity of care. She treats her patients in both the office and the hospital, including the intensive care setting. Raising two sons with her husband, she has lived in Sonoma since 1997. When she is not busy engaging her patients, she enjoys cooking, hiking and traveling.
