With over 14 years experience in the practice of Internal Medicine I specialize in chronic disease detection and management such as for Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Lupus, Vitamin Deficiency, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis and Heart Disease. I'm also big on preventive care in adults age 18 and older including the elderly.

I'm also an old hand at treating Urgent Care ailments both in my office in Duarte and online via my HIPAA-compliant website www.mimpc.com. Some of the common urgent care ailments I take care of include:

I was educated in traditional medicine at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia PA and was trained in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. Before that I received a Masters in Public Health from Boston University where I studied access to health care and public health law. For my undergraduate degree I studied Psychobiology and Philosophy at the University of Southern California USC. Go Trojans! undergrad. I speak Spanish in the exam room and therefore welcome a wide spectrum of patients to my practice. Oh yeah, I also accept various HMO plans throu Regal Medical Group, IPA, Medicare, and a number of PPO plans like Cigna, Aetna, Blue Shield of Ca, and Anthem Blue Cross.

My practice is unique in that it is nearly completely paperless. This is great for patients who hate long waits, and love making their own appointments, completing their intake form on their own sweet time online, and getting their results in a timely fashion through a patient portal. I also love to take time with my patients. I find it essential when I want to carefully design a well thought out care plan and treatment regimen for them no matter how many preexisting conditions they may have. It is my goal to help all of my patients achieve their very best health while providing compassionate and affordable evidence-based medicine.
