Syed Asif Shah MD earned his medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in 1987 He successfully completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship training at the University of Medicine and dentistry of New Jersey program Dr Shah is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology by the American board of Internal Medicine

Dr Shahs additional academic qualifications include a masters degree in public health MPH from the University of Dundee and a Masters in Business administration from Simon School of business University of Rochester with a focus on Medical Management Dr Shah is board certified in medical management by the certification commission in medical management Dr Shah is a fellow of American college of Cardiology a fellow of American college of Physicians and a diplomate of the American college of Physicians Executives Dr Shahs extensive clinical and management experience spans 3 continents

Dr Shah has previously worked as a full time faculty member in Cardiology at the University of Rochester for ten years where he was extensively involved in teaching the residents and cardiology fellows in addition to running his busy clinical practice in Rochester and Brockport His goal is to support the local hospital and he participates in various management committees and uses his management experience to help Lakeside Hospital develop new programs
