A NEW NORMAL: THE MOVE TO TELE-PSYCHIATRY IN THE ERA OF SOCIAL DISTANCING

Like many of her colleagues, Dr. Uyekubo has moved her clinic online.

And -- while keeping each other safe remains the top priority -- we have found that there are many advantages to tele-health over a traditional in-office setting. We believe this new technology will allow for a higher continuity of care and a higher quality of care on a level that was not possible before.

We encourage you to inquire more about our video chat sessions, and hope you will try it out!

Dr. Stacy Uyekubo is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with over 15 years of clinical training and experience. She earned her undergraduate degree in Economics at Harvard University, received her Medical Degree from UC San Francisco Medical School, and completed her training in Adult Psychiatry at Stanford University. After her formal training, Dr. Uyekubo spent a few years living and working on the Navajo Reservation in Fort Defiance, AZ before returning home to Honolulu. She has been in private practice since 2010.

Dr. Uyekubo specializes in treating adults with depression, anxiety, panic disorders, sleep disorders, acute and post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and attention deficit disorder. In addition to management of DSM-V disorders, Dr. Uyekubo provides psychotherapy and support for phase-of-life problems including school or academic problems, work or career problems, marital, family or other interpersonal relationship problems, problems arising in the peri- or post-partum period, parenting problems, elder or other care-giver burnout, problems related to menopause or aging, bereavement, traumatic loss or complicated grief problems, as well as psychological problems arising from chronic pain or other chronic or severe medical illness. Treatment typically incorporates supportive and psychodynamic psychotherapy with medication management.
