Shelley is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner PMHNP-BC committed to providing compassionate mental health care to patients across the lifespan. Shelleys strong clinical skills are enhanced by her natural ability to build rapport with patients and families, developed during her work in the BurnTraumaSurgical ICU at Brigham and Womens Hospital. For over 20 years Shelley provided expert critical care nursing to patients and families in crisis. Shelley always had a strong interest in psychology and behavioral healthcare. Witnessing the impact a persons mental health had on their treatment and recovery inspired Shelley to pursue a career as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. Shelley is certified to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health diagnoses in children, adolescents, and adults, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD, and ADHD. She believes each person brings a unique life experience with them and works with the patient to develop an individualized medication and psychotherapy treatment plan, making referrals to therapists as needed for regular psychotherapy.

Shelley earned her bachelors degree in nursing from Simmons University and her masters degree from MCPHS University. She enjoys spending time outside with her family, hiking, traveling, and working in her garden. She is committed to working for racial and social justice and is a member of Showing Up for Racial Justice SURJ of North Central Massachusetts.
