Seth Merritt is a Family Nurse Practitioner Licensed Massage Therapist Obesity Medicine Specialist and Clinical Lipid Specialist He often refers to himself as an official medical nerd Seth Merritt obtained his credentials as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Oregon after graduating from Oregon Health Sciences University here in Portland OR He is certified with Advanced Training in Bariatric and Obesity Medicine one of only a few medical practitioners in Oregon state with this specialty He is also a licensed massage therapist and Clinical Lipid Specialist who is actively pursuing licensure in personal training
His practice is devoted to family medicine with the specialized focus of lifestyle change and treatment of obesity in adults and children using changes in dietary foods to help maximize weight loss and reduce disease Through positive lifestyle changes exercise and individualized food regimen Seth is driven to help patients eliminate medications for blood pressure cholesterol thyroid disorders GERD and diabetes
