Sadiq Syed, MD

Dr. Syed is a board-certified ophthalmologist specialized in medical and surgical treatment of retinal disease, practicing in Maryland since 2008. Dr. Syed grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from University of Pittsburgh. Subsequently, he attended University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Medical College of Virginia. He completed his fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at University of Florida in Jacksonville.

During his fellowship, Dr. Syed also participated in multiple trials for the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network DRCR. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Maryland Society of Eye physicians and Surgeons, and the DC Eye Society.

In his spare time, Dr. Syed enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids.
