I am a child psychiatrist board certified in General, Child Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I have over 30 years of clinical experience providing psychiatric care to a diverse patient population. In addition, I have over 26 years of experience as the Clinical Director at Rockland Childrens Psychiatric Center, where I was responsible for oversight of clinical care in a range of settings including Inpatient Services, Clinic, Day Treatment and Intensive Day Treatment. I have extensive supervisory experience and have supervised psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, pediatricians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, nurses, mental health therapy aids, recreational therapists, art therapists, psychiatry residents and child adolescent fellows in training and medical students over these years. I have served as the President of the Medical Staff at Rockland Childrens for 18 years, responsible for policy writing, interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure the quality of clinical care. I also chaired the Credentialing and Privileging Committee for over 26 years, ensuring only the most competent psychiatrists were hired and given the privileges to provide quality care. I am on the voluntary faculty of NYU. I was fortunate to receive training in Structural Family Therapy by Salvador Minuchin. I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
