Ryan Shaner

Dr. Shaner grew up in King of Prussia, PA. He attended Penn State University where he double majored in Biology and ImmunologyInfectious Disease with a minor in Entomology. Following completion of his undergraduate degrees, he attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree in 2020. Upon graduation, he attended residency at Crozer-Keystone Health System PMSRRRA Podiatric Medicine and Surgery ResidencyRearfoot and Ankle Reconstruction in Upland, PA specializing in conservative and surgical management of foot and ankle deformities and injuries including bunion and hammer toe correction, tendon and ligament injuries, and management of arthritic joints. He is well trained in diabetic limb salvage and wound care with expertise in full array of salvage amputations, wound vac use, and grafting. He has received extensive training in many different bunion procedures including Lapiplasty, as well as, forefoot and rearfoot surgical correction. He is currently on the active staff at JeffersonAria Health System and St. Mary's Medical Center. During his second year of residency, Dr. Shaner had the privilege of receiving advanced training at the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland, alongside world-renowned faculty specializing in atypical pediatric foot and ankle deformities.

He lives in Jamison, PA and in his free time he enjoys discovering new restaurants, attending Philadelphia sporting events, traveling and golfing. He is an avid Penn State sports fan.
