Renan Macias,M.D. a neurologist, has been in private practice for over 40 years. He attended medical school in Ecuador where he graduated from the University of Guayaquil in 1968; then he came to the United States to get his medical internship at Booth Memorial Medical Center, Flushing, NY in 1971; later on he started the neurology residency training for 3 years at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Brooklyn VA Hospital and Kings County Hospital. He had special training in digital electrodiagnostic testing such as Electroencephalogram EEG, ElectromyogramEMG, Nerve Conduction NCV, Evoked Potentials:Visual, Auditory, Somatosensory and sleep studies.Dr. Macias is currently a full-time physician in private practice and does neurology consulting at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, 121 DeKalb Avenue Brooklyn, New York 11201; he obtained the New York State license in 1975; maintains affiliations with the American Academy of Neurology, the American Medical Association,New York State Medical Society, and Medical Society County of Kings.
