Rachel Mackessy-Lloyd

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner PMHNP specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar illness, and addiction. I will work with your mental healthcare team to collaborate and develop a plan that enables you to achieve your goals.

My approach is grounded in the interpersonal theory of nursing. I am especially interested in mood disorder, anxiety, and addiction psychiatry.

I am nationally board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center ANCC and licensed to practice independently as a PMHNP in Maryland and Washington, DC. This licensure includes prescriptive authority. I completed a Masters Degree in Nursing at George Mason University in 2012 and my PMHNP certificate from George Washington University in 2020. I worked in intensive outpatient addiction medicine from 2019-2023. Currently working at my private practice full time.
