Board Certified surgeon Peter M. Denk, MD is committed to providing the most advanced treatment while enhancing patient safety and comfort.

Peter M. Denk, MD is Board Certified in General Surgery. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1997 and completed medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School in 2001. Dr. Denk specialized in General Surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa from 2001 to 2006, and was then fortunate to obtain a Fellowship in Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Surgery in Portland, Oregon.

While in Portland, Dr. Denk was part of the team of surgeons that performed the first NOTES Transgastric Natural Orifice Cholecystectomy incisionless gallbladder removal through the mouth in the United States in May of 2007.

Building on the experience of incisionless gallbladder surgery with decreased patient post-operative pain and faster recovery, Dr. Denk helped develop incisionless treatments for obesity. He has extensive experience with the ROSE Repair of Surgery, Endolumenal procedure and has taught the majority of surgeons performing the ROSE procedure in the USA today.

Dr. Denk performed the first POSE procedure in the US in 2009.
