Dr. Nubia Gonzalez Buigas

Nubia Gonzalez Buigas, is an autonomous primary care Nurse Practitioner who completed her medical degree in the University of Havana in Cuba 1991, where she worked as a Family Medicine physician for several years until she emigrated to US in 1999 looking for political, intellectual, and religious freedom. She received her bachelor science in nursing at the Florida International University in 2011. She continued her nursing studies at Nova Southeastern University to achieve her masters degree in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice DNP at Grand Canyon University in 2018. She has maintained board certification and has been practicing primary care in Miami Florida and Roswell, New Mexico, for 6 years as a primary care provider giving to the community a high quality of care.

Nubia is an active member of several professional organizations including the American College of Nurse Practitioners; Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing; and was inducted into Nursing Honor Society of Research.
Nubia and her family, from Cuba reside in Miami, FL. She enjoys gardening and weekend getaways to the Florida beaches with her family, as well as travel around the world.
