Nazem Al Zalam, MD

Dr. Nazem Alzalam is an American Board Certified Pediatrician and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He graduated from Damascus University Medical School in 1983.
Dr. Alzalam completed his pediatrics residency at Cook County Children's Hospital in 1994. After completing residency, Dr. Alzalam practiced in many hospitals in the Chicago area. He has worked in a variety of settings including NICU, ER, and Clinics. He has great experience in the pediatrics and neonatology field.
Dr. Alzalam has also worked for two years in Dubai. Additionally, he taught medical students and Family Practice residents at Jackson Park hospital in Chicago from 1995 until 2009. I also was in the leadership team at Ross University, St. Mathew and St. James University,.
Dr. Alzalam participated in a research study, "The Endorphins Effect on the Spinal Cord in Rats", at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

We admit our patients to both Advocate Christ Hospital and Silver Cross Hospital.
Our practice covers all aspects of pediatrics, newborn diseases, and asthma management. We offer all vaccinations and complete sport and School physical exams.
