Mostafa Tabassomi

I, Mostafa Tabassomi, am a board-certified Intensivist-Pulmonologist with additional training and board certification in Interventional Pulmonology .

My special interests in addition to general pulmonary disease, are in interventional pulmonology, early diagnosis of lung cancer, staging of lung cancer, treatment of lung cancer in early stages, airway obstruction due to cancers or benign disorders, and malignant pleural effusion.

I have received extensive training, both nationally and internationally, in complicated lung diseases requiring bronchoscopic procedures, pleural procedures, Airway stent valve placement, laser therapy, PDT photodynamic therapy, brachytherapy, etc.

I use minimally-invasive technology to diagnose pulmonary nodules and treat airway disease in advanced lung cancer by mechanical debulking, laser, electrocautery, APC or balloon dilation, and placing stents, or severe asthma by Bronchial Thermoplasty.
