Mike Tankersley

Dr. Tankersley is double board-certified by The American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. A decorated Air Force Allergist Immunologist with over 20 years of service, Dr. Tankersley retired from the Air Force in 2015 in the grade of Colonel and returned to his hometown of Memphis to serve his local community. A second-generation Memphian, Dr. Tankersley received his education from kindergarten through medical school in Memphis. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Tankersley is currently on the teaching faculty at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, UTHSC, and a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics. He serves on the teaching staff for the UTHSC AllergyImmunology fellowship program where he also works with the residents and medical students.
