Melissa Matthews, NP

Melissa has almost 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. She started her career as a medical assistant but always knew she wanted to be a nurse. She graduated with her BSN in 2005 from Ball State University. She worked Cardiac ICU, ER and LD before realizing her passion of caring for women throughout their lifespan. She furthered her education at IU and became a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in 2010. She also found a love of educating future nurses at that time. She started as faculty at Ball State University in 2013. Deciding to complete her terminal degree, she attended Frontier Nursing University and graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2021.
