Mauricio Valido, NP

Mauricio Valido began his professional career as a Medical Doctor in 1989 in his natal town Camaguey, Cuba, after graduating from Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas Carlos J. Finlay.
His work involved preventive services in the community, emergency and home visits. After six years of work and completion of specialty in Family, he moved to Miami and re initiated his professional career becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. He went to Barry University obtained both a Bachelor and Master degrees in 2003 and 2012 respectively. He gained extensive experience in hospital care setting, hospice care, home health care, medical offices and working for the Florida Department of Health. It was during the time he was working with Dr. Simon Abelson and Dr. Clifford Benezra, when he obtained more experience in patient's home visits. Eventually, he decided to open his own practice in 2015.
He is a husband of his business partner provider Davmary Hernandez-Jorcano, NP and the father of two girls with all its happiness and challenges.
He is an avid reader, and especially loves to travel with family and friends.
In medicine, he is particularly drawn to prevention and wellness, trying to get to know patients as individuals with particular goals and needs.
