Mariana Silva, MD

Dr Silva is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist with 10 years of experience in Physical Rehablitation specialty. She graduated in 2005 from University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus and completed her residency program at UCLA VA combined program in Los Angeles CA. She has worked extensively with patients with occupational and musculoskeletal injuries, She has also worked at inpatient rehabilitation units as an attending physician. Currently working in the outpatient clinic setting and diagnoses and treats patients with muscoloskeletal pain or injuries, history of neurologic disease such as Parkinson disease; patients that suffered strokes, patients with difficulty walking or balance deficits, numbness tingling in extremities. She performs EMG NCV studies, which help asses diagnosis and severity of conditions such as: carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathy, neuropathy, among others. She also performs injections for pain control including trigger point injections, joint injections, viscosupplementation injections to knees and prolotherapy in cases of chronic tendinopathies that have not improved with conservative treatment. She can prescribe medications and direct physical therapy treatment in order to achieve better quality of life for you
