Lori Riley

My name is Lori Riley. I am proud to be a Chicago native because I have had the privilege of being raised and educated in an environment that cares about community. I am the product of Chicago Public Schools. I earned 2 degrees, my first is a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Illinois and the second is a Medical Degree from Rush University. I completed my residency program at Cook County Hospital where I stayed on as an associate professor for the Department of Family Medicine until 2013. Due to an unfortunate, accident I had to leave Cook County because I could not perform at the level needed to continue teaching and practicing on a full time basis. During the year that I was recovering, I became more aware of the daily trials that a person with disabilities and limitations has to cope with. Learning how to walk again, learning how to live with pain on a daily basis and learning to take one day at a time was not easy but with my faith in God, family, friends and treating with cannabis products, I was able to get up and move again. Now with a new vision as a Cannabis Advocate, I make house calls to people who are struggling to regain their health or maintain their current level of wellness. I understand how hard it can be to get out to a medical provider especially when you have to depend on others to support you or if you are the caregiver of someone who depends on you for support. For however long I am able, I want to help ease that burden via educating and serving anyone seeking to improve their Wellness Journey.
