Lauren Viramontes, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, is a master's prepared, double board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner PMHNP and family nurse practitioner FNP with prescriptive authority. She currently treats clients at Peak Interactive Wellness in Denver, Colorado.
Lauren has extensive training as a family medicine and psychiatric nurse practitioner. Lauren sees ages 16. Laurens educational background includes a Bachelor of Science BS in Microbiology from the University of New Hampshire in Manchester, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, and a Master of Science in Nursing MSN as a family nurse practitioner from the University of New Hampshire. She also completed additional graduate studies with a post-master program to obtain a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certification from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.
At Peak Interactive Wellness, Lauren provides treatment, including medication management for adolescents and adults with various conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, behavioral issues, trauma, attention and concentration difficulties, and troubled thought patterns.
Lauren has previous experience working with anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions through her former work as a family nurse practitioner and primary care provider. Lauren values a holistic, client-centered approach to the care of her clients while remaining sensitive to each persons individual life journey, values, and needs. She emphasizes a well-rounded treatment plan that might include medication, therapy, nutrition, exercise, sleep, and lifestyle recommendations, as these factors contribute to our mental health. She is conservative in her prescribing practice while valuing the importance of lifestyle recommendations in her approach to care.
Her special interests include working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, young to middle-aged adult populations, and those who may be going through life changes and transitions.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys yoga, running, hiking, all music, the theater, and travel.
