Dr. Lauren Langley received her Doctor of Nursing Practice DNP from the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2014 where she was a Jonas Veterans scholar. She earned her Masters in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing MSN from the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2001 and has been board certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2001. Early in her career, Dr. Langley lived in New Orleans, LA, where she specialized in the treatment of eating disorders. After Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Langley began working for an inpatient trauma-based disorders treatment program called The New Orleans Institute where she was the director of the Eating Disorders Track. During this time, Dr. Langley concentrated on the treatment of trauma-based disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, and other co-morbid psychiatric illnesses. In 2009, Dr. Langley received an opportunity to use her specialty training in trauma-based disorders in work with active duty military men and women. She relocated to North Carolina and worked for 5 years at the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune treating active duty Marines and Sailors suffering from a variety of psychiatric illnesses. She began a private practice in Wilmington, NC, in 2011 and is now working full-time in this private practice. She treats children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric evaluation and medication management. She has vast experience working with individuals coping with ADHD, depressive disorders, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders, impulse control disorders, and behavioral issues.
