Laura Nowacki, MD

Dr. Laura Nowacki has been practicing pediatrics in Newtown since 1999 and will remain at 10 Queen Street for the long term to serve all of our childrens' healthcare needs.

Educational Background includes BS in Biology at Duke University, Medical School Pediatric Residency and Chief Residency at the University of CT CT Children's Medical Center.

Professional interests include preventative pediatric care, breastfeeding medicine, and the care of children with special healthcare needs.

Dr. Nowacki is actively involved in community outreach programs in Newtown aimed at building strong foundations for childrens' physical, emotional and mental health. Professional affiliations include the CT chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, AAP committees on Breastfeeding and Sports Medicine, active member of United Physicians of Newtown and co-founder of Newtown Access Mental Health program.

Personal activities include serving as medical consultant for the REACH program of Newtown, co-founding the NewtownStrong Running Club and sponsoringorganizing and participating in the Sandy Hook Run for Families.

Dr. Nowacki and her devoted staff believe we can guide our children towards a better future by getting back to the basics of healthy living.
