Kirstin Curtis, ARNP

Kirstin Curtis ARNP graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2002. Kirstin is nationally board certified by the ANCC in family practice and is also certified as a dermatology nurse practitioner since 2013.

Kirstin has extensive work experience in internal medicine and family practice. She prides herself on thorough and comprehensive management of patients health, and truly believes in preventive medicine with the goal of minimizing medications when possible. I love caring for the whole family. Kirstin has also worked full-time in a busy dermatology practice in Vancouver, WA, where she focused on the treatment of many skin disorders. She won a new dermatoscope at her recent dermatology convention 2013 in a competition with 300 other providers for identifying lesions correctly. Dermoscopy allows a trained provider to see lesions with more clarity, in order to determine if they are abnormal or benign.

She evaluates and manages rashes, acne, psoriasis, molenevus and full skin evaluations, skin biopsies and skin excisions, and treatment of some cosmetic lesions. Acne of all ages is very easy to treat; she also does Accutane when indicated. The wait to see a dermatologist can be up to 6-8 weeks. I enjoy helping patients with their dermatology concerns, and referring on if needed.
