Kamiylah Lawson

I received my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at Coppin State University in 2014. After graduating I worked as a registered nurse at Sheppard Pratt Health System in Towson. In 2017 I broadened my work experience as a critical care nurse at MedStar Franklin Square. During my tenure at Franklin Square I transferred to the inpatient adult psychiatric unit where I worked until returning to school to further my education. I was admitted into the graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania. While at UPenn I attended clinicals at Philadelphia Hospital, Penn Presbyterian Hospital, and Elwyn behavioral health outpatient services. After obtaining my Masters of Science in Nursing in 2020 I returned to Baltimore to pursue my career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have worked as an inpatient attending at Sheppard Pratt Health System in Towson until 2023. I now work as an Outpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner seeing patients across the lifespan.
