Dr. Berenji is an interventional cardiologist with 15 years of experience in the field of cardiovascular medicine He finished his internal medicine training at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan and served as the chief resident for the Detroit Veteran Affairs Hospital

His training in cardiovascular medicine included clinical and research training at the University of Iowa and the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas He was trained in coronary and peripheral intervention at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City

He has been practicing cardiology for the past 15 years and was an Associate Professor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University
