Dr. Moran received his MD degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in 1982. He then received his specialty in Orthopedics and trauma surgery in 1989 and his subspecialty in spinal surgery in 1989. He moved to California in 1992 and has since worked in the Los Angeles area in General Practice.
