Jon grew up in Colorado Springs and moved to Washington in 1999 to attend the University of Puget Sound, where he received a bachelors degree in business. He worked as an account manager for an insurance brokerage firm until 2008. Unfulfilled working in business, he decided to change professions and pursue a career as a Physician Assistant, which would allow him to serve others and help them achieve their healthcare goals.

To acquire the prerequisites for PA school he gained Medical Assistant certification in 2010. As a MA, Jon worked at the Polyclinic in Endocrinology, Family Medicine, and Gastroenterology until 2015 when he was accepted into the MEDEX Physician Assistant program at the University of Washington. During his time at the Polyclinic he also volunteered the testing center at Gay City, and helped raise money for the American Diabetes Association.

Personal interests include tennis, hiking, camping, photography. He is a member of the Seattle Gay and Lesbian Tennis Association and also belongs to the Seattle Mycological Society.

Jon is looking forward to being able to serve the LGBTQ community. His special interests include endocrine disorders, especially diabetes, as well as transgender care.
