Dr. Jonathan Stoudmire, a general and forensic psychiatrist, has vast experience treating a broad range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, ADHD, and relationship problems. Additionally, he has extensive experience as a expert in weight management.

We emphasize the importance of a thorough evaluation required for a correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment. He spends a significant amount of time educating his patients about their diagnosis and treatment options.

"I have always been amazed by the number of people that take medications everyday for years and have very little knowledge about their diagnosis or treatment options," says Dr. Stoudmire. "Patients respond more favorably when they are involved in their treatment planning."

Dr. Stoudmire also specializes in relationship issues and provides therapy to couples in distress. "Unresolved relationship problems are often the source of stress, depression, and anxiety. I work with individuals and couples to deal directly with their issues rather than ignore them, as so many people do," he says. "My goal as a psychiatrist is not only to help patients in need, but also to teach them how to help themselves."
