Jim May

Jim has spent his entire life in the Verde Valley. He grew up watching fireworks above Pecks Lake and sliding barefoot across the 5th street bridge. He graduated from Mingus High School, and worked in construction and was a HVAC contractor until captain recession came along in 2008.

In 2009, Jim enrolled into the Nursing Program at Yavapai College. He received his RN in 2012, was hired to the Emergency Room at VVMC as a new-grad, where he worked for 3 years before switching to YRMC in Prescott Valley as a Trauma-ER Nurse for the past 7 years. Throughout the years as a trauma ER nurse, Jim trained and specialized in ultrasound IV insertion.

While working at YRMC, Jim re-enrolled in school to earn his Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and continued on to complete his Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Jim continued this rigorous program while working full-time during the Covid epidemic. Jim graduated from Purdue University with his MSN-FNPc in June of 2021 and was invited to team up with Cathleen Jochim-Malapanes FNP who has a long history of amazing family medical care at Jochim Family Practice.

Jim brings family medical care to the JFP team but is also offering a variety of medical IV infusions that include immune support, hydration, weight-loss, health optimization, and specialized medical infusions to treat depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Jims commitment to the health of our community, his passion for quality healthcare and wellness, and his training and knowledge in IV therapies help make the Alpha Infusions team the premier choice for IV therapy in our Verde Valley community.
