Ihuarulam Okoroji, Nurse Practitioner

Ihuarulam Chidi Okoroji is a board-certified registered nurse practitioner. She started her nursing career over twenty years ago as a Registered nurse in various health care settings, and a certified registered nurse practitioner five years ago. In the hospital setting she worked in medical surgical, Cardiac telemetry-progressive care, and also as a float nurse in various hospital units. She worked in skilled nursing care facilities and held many positions such as staff nurse, nursing supervisorsmanagerial and several nursing leadershipdirector positions. She also worked in-home care settings and hospice and cared for terminally ill patients.
She worked in advanced disease management and palliative care for two years. She has dedicated the past three years as a nurse practitioner working with individuals struggling with addiction and mental health. She finds her passion in working with individuals with helping others.
She obtained her Diploma of Nursing Degree from the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in 1995 and moved to the United States. She then, obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 from Alvernia University. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2015. She is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice education at Walden University.
Her training, skills, education, knowledge, and experiences in various healthcare settings have ignited her passion for providing evidenced-based, person-centered, quality, and safe patient care.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, dancing, cooking, and listening to music.
