Geoff Cox, MD

Since 1995 South Oaks Family Medicine has offered comprehensive, compassionate health care for the entire family. We care for patients from infants to the elderly throughout the life cycle. Our approach to medicine is open-minded and evidence-based. Our entire goal is to improve the health of all of our patients. Usually we can accomplish this with healthy nutrition, regular exercise, plenty of water, compassionate support, relaxation techniques and the passage of time. Occasionally medications or other interventions are needed.

Raised in Dallas, Dr. Cox received his BA in biology from Rice University then graduated from University of Texas at Houston Medical School. After completing his internship and residency, he served on the faculty of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

His wife, Linda, and his two children operate a farm near the practice with goats, chickens, rabbits, turtles, dogs and a 3-legged cat. Dr. Cox has volunteered at the Volunteer Healthcare Clinic since 1996 and is very active at Westlake United Methodist Church. When he's not cutting cedar trees, he swims.
