Heidi Erickson, MD

Dr Erickson attended the Uniformed Services University of the Health SciencesF Edward Hebert School of Medicine after completing almost 8 years of active duty as an enlisted member of the United States Navy She subsequently completed a combined residency and fellowship program in Psychiatry Pediatrics and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry She maintains her Board Certification in both Psychiatry and Pediatrics
Over the years while serving on active duty Dr Erickson has had the opportunity to serve as Medical Director or Adult Child Adolescent and Geropsychiatric Inpatient Units as well as both Adult and Adolescent Substance abuse units She has also worked with many varied populations in general outpatient psychiatric and pediatric practices as well as maintaining an interest in Emergency Medicine which she has also practiced for the last 15 years
Dr Erickson recently retired from Federal Service Her last post on active duty was as the Deputy Chief of the Department of Community Behavioral Health Services at Fort Sill Oklahoma where she was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to serve with the United States Army It is her work there that led her to search out strategies for helping soldiers and others recover from repetitive blast injury and other war related neuropsychiatric impairments That search has landed her to South Florida where she will be continuing her practice of a more integrative approach to Psychiatric Disorders She is currently working with other likeminded community practitioners to develop comprehensive strategies for managing complex neuropsychiatric disorders and injuries She looks forward to working with the South Florida community and welcomes you to her office herein Delray Beach Florida
