Elizabeth Brudney, PMHNP

I am nationally board certified as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner accredited to treat clients of all ages. I primarily work with adolescents and adults ages 15-60. I provide psychiatric care in the form of psychotherapy with or without psychiatric medication management. Psychiatric treatment involves discovering and understanding multiple factors that may be contributing to current symptoms and distress. I help clients to gain a better understanding of their thoughts, behaviors, and interactions with others. I incorporate many psychotherapy techniques including Psychodynamic therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills. I believe that emotions and feelings are valuable and manageable and I help people gain awareness on how to tolerate them, cope with them, and use them to guide their intuition. Listening is the most important part of my job, as I believe there is not a one size fits all solution for change and treatment. Thus I do my best to tailor my tools to fit the individual. I have had additional training in women's health that includes perinatal and postpartum mood disorder treatment and have a Perinatal Mental Health Certification.
