Diamond is an Outpatient Therapist with credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate LCSWA and Certified Anxiety Informed Professional CAIP. She pursued her undergraduate studies in Social Work at UNCW, where she developed a strong passion for patient services. During that time, she also held various leadership roles, the most notable being working within their violence prevention and response office, CARE. Diamond continued her work in violence prevention as an Advocate Intern within New Hanover County's Domestic Violence Shelter and Services and returned after graduating to work as a Shelter Advocate. While obtaining her Master of Social Work, Diamond worked at UNCW, returning to CARE, as the Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator, educating the campus community on the importance of boundaries, consent, bystander intervention, and healthy relationships. During this time, she expanded her knowledge via interning within Brunswick County's Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services, and foster programs.
Diamond's experience aligns with clients who wish to focus on processing and developing skills to manage relationship abuse, anxiety, sexual abuse, depression, and low self-esteem. Diamond provides a client-centered approach focusing on mindfulness, self-compassion, establishing boundaries, and empowerment. Her primary therapeutic modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
