Dr. Simon is A Fellowship trained, Double Board Certified Foot and Rear Foot Reconstructive Podiatric Surgeon, whos been servicing the Brooklyn community for 12 years. Dr. Simon has had the privilege to treating patients or all ages, from birth to 107. His experience, superior training, and excellent care that he provides to patients are just a few reasons these patients come far and near to see him.

Many internal medicine doctors, podiatrists, vascular surgeons, infectious disease specialists and orthopedic surgeons rely on Dr. Simons services as their preferred podiatrist. Dr. Simon is the preferred podiatrist of prestigious Mount Sinai Brooklyn Hospital, a a 212-bed acute-care community hospital located in Midwood Brooklyn

After completing his residency at Yale hospital, Dr. Simon went on to complete his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in Europe. He is DOUBLE BOARD certified in foot surgery and rearfoot reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

He is one of a select few podiatrist in NY state that is allowed to treat the and ankle and lower leg. Dr. Simon holds both a standard and advanced NY state ankle permit.

In a addition to his gifted hands as a surgeon he also is the Chair of the NY state Podiatry Board Dr. Simon will advises and assists the NY Board of Regents and the NY State Education Department on matters pertaining to professional regulation of Podiatrists. Hes the only board member to hold both a standard and advanced ankle podiatry permit issued by New York State.
Members of the State Boards advise on licensing requirements, licensing examinations and practice issues, and provide community outreach, as well as participate in licensure disciplinary andor restoration and moral character proceedings. Members of the Committee advise on matters relating to impaired practice, may administer or serve on panels for Program admission or professional license reinstatement. Dr. Simon is appointed to the NY state board till 2026


While a fellow in Germany, Dr. Simon operated on young children with very rare congenital deformities that have been reported a handful of times. he was interviewed on national TV several times during his fellowship. He trained with the pioneers of some of the implants used the operating rooms throughout the world. While in Residency, Dr. Simon was an Adjunct assistant clinical instructor within the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, Yale School of Medicine. He was part of a multidisciplinary team of limb salvage surgeons performing deformity correction, repairing injuries, prevention of amputation and improving function in high risk patients. He was privileged to have authored numerous publications including two of which presented at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons national scientific conference. Dr. Simon has been trained in the use of the latest advanced surgical reconstruction modalities to treat complex foot deformities. In his final year of residency, Dr. Simon was appointed as a Chief resident of the Podiatric Surgical Service of the Yale Healthcare System.

While working in an orthopedic group for 12 years Dr. Simon continued to sharpen his skillset and performed surgery on a wide array of pathology ranging from the simplest to most complex podiatric conditions that exist in the field of podiatric medicine and surgery.
