My practice encompasses both General Neurology and Sleep Medicine, related fields in which I have 40 years of experience. I should add that I also have extensive experience with psychiatric patients, having been the neurologic consultant to a large psychiatric hospital for 22 years.

My approach to patients, no matter what the problem follows Dr. William Osler's dictum: "Listen to the patient, she'she's telling you what's wrong with her him." I dislike throwing tests at problems; instead I use tests to confirm or deny my clinical diagnosis. I believe the patient-doctor relationship should be a partnership between adults. I will endeavor to give you my best medical advice; it will always be up to you whether to follow it.
