Chris Haik

Passionate and motivated, Chris Haik is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner who has dedicated almost two decades of his career to ensuring that exemplary health care is provided to the community. Chris Haik has been an enthusiastic employee for CORE Occupational in Baton Rouge for the past 9 years. Recently promoted in January 2017, Chris Haik moved into the role of Director of Practice Operations with CORE Occupational in Baton Rouge. While new to the role, Chris Haik enrolled in the MBA program at Louisiana State University. He is eager to make a positive impact within the organization and gain business experience at the executive level. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree, Chris Haik began his 19-year-long career in 1999. Working as a cardiac and intensive care nurse, he had the fortunate opportunity to practice in some of the most renowned hospitals in the United States like U.C.L.A Medical Center in Los Angeles and Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, just to name a few. In 2005,
Chris continued his outstanding academic performance by earning a Master of Science in Nursing MSN degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
After graduating with a masters degree in 2005 as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Chris Haik embraced his new career by practicing at St. Elizabeth Physicians in Gonzales, Louisiana. Here he provided care for complex internal medicine patients, and hospitalized patients, and managed
occupational injuries. Chris Haik also practiced in the emergency room at Our Lady of the Lake and River Parish Hospital, where he gained invaluable experience and advanced his skills in
managing acute and chronic illnesses. In October 2009, Chris Haik secured the opportunity to work with Core Occupational in Baton
Rouge, as a nurse practitioner. Here he was responsible for providing injury management, case management, onsite medical surveillance, and medical services to several local plants and family practices. Within four years, he was promoted to the role of clinic manager and more recently,
secured the Director of Practice Operations position.
Not afraid to take himself out of his comfort zone, Chris Haik enjoys traveling, seeing the world, and experiencing new cultures. He has a passion for cooking, often recreating many of the cuisines he encounters. Participating in the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain is one of the
most adventurous and exciting events he has participated in.
