Brian Jakubowicz, MD

After completing my training in anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine at Harvard Medical School - Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, I practiced in New Jersey for 9 years as a partner in a private pain practice and as Program Director of Chronic Pain Medicine at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. During that time, I spearheaded the first pain fellowship in the country for Emergency Medicine residents to prepare for practicing acute on chronic pain medicine, which culminated in the creation of the ALTO Alternative to Opioids program at St. Joseph's. This program is lead by pioneers in the industry and has served as a model for other Emergency Medicine programs throughout the United States.

Having always wanted to experience the warmth and hospitality of the South, for more than just vacation, I moved to Greenville, SC. Joining Piedmont Comprehensive Pain Management Group, I hope to provide my patients cutting edge, compassionate care.
