Austin Osborn

Dr. Austin Osborn is a Vanderbilt and University of Chicago-trained Christian psychiatrist with expertise in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. He is board certified with NBPAS. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Vanderbilt University with a major in music composition and theory and minor in clarinet. He attended medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine before venturing to the University of Chicago to complete his psychiatry residency. While in Chicago he developed an interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychopharmacology in refractory mood disorders, and developed expertise in managing psychiatric disorders with concurrent medical or neurological illnesses. This practice treats a variety of psychiatric and psychological conditions including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, psychotic illnesses including schizophrenia, bipolar-spectrum disorders, personality disorders and psychological difficulties including problems with motivation, interpersonal conflicts, issues of professional identity, problems of inflexible rigidity, and creative blockade.
