Amber Walker, PMHNP-BC

Amber is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. She strives to provide the highest quality of care while working collaboratively as a team with patients to achieve optimal mental health and wellbeing. She believes in meeting the client where they are at in their mental health journey and working to improve their life. She uses a client focused approach that encompasses the clients mind, body and spirit allowing for the provision of a holistic approach to care, which may include psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, or a combination of both. She understands that through therapeutic communication and health literacy coupled with therapy and medications patients can achieve excellent outcomes. Although life can be challenging clients can be assured that she will work with them to meet all of lifes challenges, and she looks forward to working with them to achieve their mental health goals.
