Adaora Gbanite

Ada is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over twelve years of clinical expertise, as evidenced by my ability to create rapport with patients, caregivers and families. I am currently licensed in New Jersey and New York. I follow evidence based guidelines with a blend of attention to patient cues, personal clinical observation and a personalized patient by patient model for the best patient outcome.



My role as a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner is multifaceted, consisting of mental health advocacy, high level leadership, medication management, patient education and interdisciplinary team collaboration. My goals are to utilize a holistic and patient centered approach to health and healthcare for all age groups and assist my patients to achieve their optimal mental, spiritual, physical and emotional wellbeing.



I specialize in ADHD, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders,mood disorders, bipolar disorders, eating disorders, comorbid mental health disorders and perinatal psychiatry, for all age groups. I am committed to being updated on new psychiatric modalities and psychopharmacology, which I achieve by attending various continuing education training and conferences.



In my downtime, I love to spend time with my larger than life family, parents and siblings, whom I absolutely adore.
