Mistie D. Kocurek

Mistie graduated with highest honors from the University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio, Texas where she earned both her undergraduate and her graduate degree. She has a background in hospital leadership and critical care as an RN in San Antonio for over 10 years before transitioning into the Nurse Practitioner role.

While in the hospital working at the bedside as an RN, she developed a passion for importance in continuity of care making it a priority for her practice concepts. As a FNP, she has worked in a variety of settings, including internal medicine, family practice, aesthetics, weight loss management, mens and womens health, and pain management.

Mistie is a native to the Hill Country area growing up in the hills of Uvalde, Real, and Kinney Counties. She has made Bandera, Texas her home for over 15 years and loves it!

Mistie, her husband Trent, and their small family of 5 children spend a lot of their spare time outside with nature, hunting, engaging in sports, and family gatherings. Mistie also has a passion for animals and enjoys ranching where she engages in raising and harvesting many goods from her goats, honey bees, chickens, and other various animals.
