Rolando Degoma

Rolando L. deGoma, MD. FACC, FNLA is a dedicated preventive cardiologist and clinical cholesterol specialist with over 30 years of private practice experience. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Clinical Lipidology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the National Lipid Association.

We have successfully prevented most heart attack, stroke, heart failure, the need for stents and heart bypass since 2001. The 2015 ACC President Dr. Kim Williams, Sr. repeatedly stated during his term that "it is time to turn off the faucet instead of just mopping the floor". We agree wholeheartedly and that is what we have been doing in central NJ for over a decade now.

We submitted an abstract about our quality performance data. It was accepted and was presented at the 2017 annual scientific sessions of the National Lipid Association in Philadelphia. The eposter is titled "From Closing the Treatment Gap to Turning Off the Faucet Instead of Just Mopping the Floor" - 89 reached LDLc 100, 52 were less than 70 and 16 were below 50. We are proud to be part of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Million Hearts Model Intervention Group - a historic randomized trial to reduce heart attack and stroke nationwide. Dr. R. deGoma is also a designated Million Hearts Model Champion.
